Simple & Secure Application Process
All applicants must be placed on a waitlist and selected from it to be considered. There are two waitlists to apply for based on the type of unit applicants qualify for:
Project-based Voucher (PBV) Waitlist
Housing Alliance HTX – the new name for the Houston Housing Authority – maintains the PBV waitlist established and managed in chronological order based on the date and time the preliminary application is received. This waitlist is for the project-based voucher units with rent based on household income and subsidized by Housing Alliance HTX, officially known as the Houston Housing Authority.
This list opens for applications on February 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and closes on March 13, 2026 at 5pm.
Before you can apply when the PBV waitlist open on February 27, 2026, you must create a profile in the Housing Alliance HTX Applicant Portal in Rent Café. That registration can be done at anytime – before or after the waitlist opens

Tax Credit Waitlist
The property maintains the tax credit waitlist, established and managed in chronological order based on the date and time the preliminary application is received, and any applicable preference ranking. This waitlist is for the tax credit units with rent based on household income.
Applicants may apply for the tax credit waitlist at: https://www.pointebayoubend.com/
To be placed on the tax credit waitlist, all household members age 18 and older must complete an application and meet credit and criminal screening requirements.
· A non-refundable application fee of $17.00 is required for the Head of Household and $11.50 for each additional household member age 18 and older.
Once all screening requirements are met, the applicant will be officially placed on the tax credit waitlist.
