Program Overview

The Mobility Program helps Housing Choice Voucher participants relocate to areas with improved access to high-performing schools, employment opportunities, and community resources. Through counseling and landlord outreach, the program supports families in overcoming barriers to moving and making informed housing choices that promote long‑term stability and economic opportunity.

Services

Pre-move counseling and planning with a Case Manager

Personalized housing search and landlord engagement support

Help with application fees, security deposits, and moving expenses (up to program limits)

Orientation to new neighborhood resources and services

Post-move support including school enrollment guidance and periodic check-ins

Eligibility

Must be a current Housing Choice Voucher participant or on the HCV waitlist

Have at least one child age 17 or younger in the household

Be in good standing with current landlord

Have at least three months before the current lease ends
