Program Overview

The Youth Build Program helps opportunity youth—typically ages 16 to 24—earn a high school diploma or its equivalent while gaining hands-on construction training, leadership development, and workforce readiness skills.

Services

The program prepares participants for long-term employment, post-secondary education, and successful careers, while also contributing to affordable housing and community revitalization.

eligibility

Age

  • Be between 16 and 24 years old at the time of enrollment.

Education Status

  • Be a school dropout, or
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency (GED) but be basic-skills deficient, unemployed, or underemployed.

Income Status

  • Be a member of a low-income family, or
  • Be a youth in foster care, involved with the juvenile justice system, experiencing homelessness, a migrant youth, or a youth with a disability (income exceptions may apply
